课程概述
本课程旨在向研究生介绍当今中英文学界关于中国医学史的三大相互缠绕的研究主题：医学、药物与身体。一方面，我们将考察这些新的研究如何重新审视旧有的医学发展史和内外史的问题，另一方面，我们还将探讨他们如何拓展医学史的边界，使之与更为宏观的议题，如：现代性、民族主义、资本主义、殖民主义和战争等相勾连在一起。借此，本课程希望帮助学生练习阅读、分析和批评相关学术著作，并为学生在未来展开独立研究提供一个整体性的中国医学史架构。
课程英文简介
This course will examine three intertwined research topics on the history of Chinese medicine: medicine,pharmaceuticals, and body. On the one hand, we will show how new studies move away from the “medical development” and the “internal” and “external” history of medicine and towards a more comprehensive understanding of medicine. On the other, we will also discuss how they expand the boundaries of medical history to link it with broad issues, such as modernity, nationalism, capitalism, colonialism, and wars. By doing so, it intends to help students practice reading, analyzing, and criticizing academic works and to provide a holistic historical framework of Chinese medical history for students to conduct independent research in the future.
教学方式
课堂讲授为主（70%），辅之以文献阅读（20%）和课堂讨论（10%）。最后一节课为学生报告。
考核方式
1、 平时成绩50%：课堂发言25%，每周课程作业25%
2、 期末提交一篇8000字左右的独立研究论文50%
