研究方向（英文）：Liao Yuanzhi is interested in the interaction between communication technology and societyof China during the 19th and 20th century, his main concern is the history of modern Chinese Internet technology and the history of printing technology in the Republic of China. Liao Yuanzhi is particularly interested in the patterns of knowledge generation under different technological conditions and social environments.
