Course introduction

Based on the changes of the centers of scientific and technological activities in the world, this course mainly introduces the rise and fall of the centers of scientific and technological activities in world history since ancient Greece, and tries to elaborate on the social reasons for the rise and fall. The course aims to educate students in understanding the main development process of science and technology in world civilization, as well as the interaction between science and technology and society.
